SABROOM, Jan 18 (TIWN): Education system is deteriorating day by day in interior places under Sabroom Sub Division particularly in Primary level schools. Education system of the schools of Baishnabpur, Magroom and Bagmara ADC villages have been deteriorating day by day as classes are conducted for four days in a week and the rest two days, schools remain close. The conditions of almost all the schools are in complete disarray.

Most of the schools grapple with poor infrastructure having no toilets/chairs/playgrounds etc. Students of those remote area often uses School Education banners/poster as their sitting tools in the classes.  Such a practice is prevalent as per the joint decision of the ruling party leaders and local leaders of administration, sources said.

Rice for mid-day meal and allotted money for other purpose are getting embezzled as the schools remain closed for 2 days in a week, alleged the natives. They are not getting any clue of the mid-day meal and allotted fund. The issue raised a number of questions among the natives.Huge amounts are being sanctioned for Mid Day Meal programme under SSA scheme. Unfortunately the corrupt nature of the implementing agencies throughout Sabroom is playing a major role in the failure of the programme.An average number of teachers remain absent most of the times.Also, the school has been facing shortage of classrooms.

Though, the local leaders and Chairman are acknowledged of the issue as they are also in school management team , they are playing the role of mute spectators.Out of the allotted fund for development of education, a lion's share is getting embezzled in Sabroom sub division. As a consequence, the education system has fallen flat over there.

It is very important to check whether the Inspectors of the state education department are departing their duties sincerely or not.
