Weather watchers predict foggy morning in coming days

AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): With slight rise in the minimum temperature to ten degree Celsius, the dwellers of Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold in the state.

Weather watchers in Agartala have predicted partly cloudy sky followed by fog in the early hours coming mornings.

The Meteorological Department confirmed that Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold as the minimum temperature stands at 10 degree Celsius and the temperature will rise up to 12 degree Celsius in these days. 

Maximum Day temperature in Tripura on Tuesday was recorded at 24.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.6 degree Celsius.

On the other hand there was no major change in the day temperature that hovered around 24 degree Celsius marks. Minimum temperature recorded was 12 degrees Celsius in the day and there is possibility that the temperature will fall in the night.

However, actual winter days will prevail in the state by weekend once the wind pattern which is said to be in transition is settled, the forecast said.

Tripura had recorded its lowest temperature in winter at 2° C in 1972.

Mostly during the winter season, life observed crippled across the state because of the chill and attendance seem to get poor in most schools and government offices. The streets wore a deserted look and business establishments were closed.

Generally, in Tripura winter starts from November. This year it has started from the month of December.
