AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): In another bizarre incident, alongwith an auto driver three passengers were injured on Tuesday at Barjala.
Reportedly, the accident took place after the auto bearing registration number TR01-E-3061 and a police van bearing registration number TR01-C-0817 collided.
All the four injured were taken to the GBP Hospital.
Getting alarm about the incident police of Ramnagar Phari and Kunjaban Police Station rushed to the spot and investigated the area.
It has been mentioned that the fault was allegedly of the auto driver.
From the month of January of 2015 till July 15 of 2015 altogether 319 accident cases have been registered.
In the month of January a total of 47 cases have been registered, while 42 cases in the month of February. A total of 57 cases were recorded in the month of March, 44 in the month of April.
However, in the month of May 51 cases were registered, June (51) and till July 15 altogether 25 cases were registered.
It has been mentioned that most of the accidents occurs due to the reckless driving on the road. And most of the time it has been seen that the drivers are drunk. Besides, sometimes they are driving in more than the instructed speed.
Causes of road accidents also include fault of driver of other vehicles, fault of passengers, poor light condition, falling of boulders, neglect of civic bodies, stray animals and other causes and some time due to deplorable condition of the roads.
