AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Dec 21 (TIWN): At the verge of retirement from Ministry of Textile as Secretary, former Chief Secretary of Tripura S K Panda has been moving on search for rehabilitation after completion of service life on Dec 31, 2015. It is apparent that Tripura to be the best destination for him where he has earned a lot and allowed the dishonest blocks to eat public fund at the behest of ruling CPI-M and Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Unfortunately, there is no berth vacant for Panda to get in Tripura. He lost the chance when State Human Rights Commission was constituted in October this year. Panda was approached for the post of member, as Chief Minister Sarkar prefers Panda like spineless and reptile creature who always work for personal gratification and satisfaction to the party in power. He was almost sure that Sarkar will be waiting for his retirement before constituting right body but situation had compelled Sarkar to exclude him. All other opportunities like state information commission, sale tax tribunal, police accountability commission, ombudsmen of MGNREGA and state election commission were sealed for him by the time.According to sources, Panda’s mischief and misdeed have put the left front government in trouble. To show his allegiance to the left front and Chief Minister during his tenure as Chief Secretary, he institutionalized corruption in the state. Entire administration had turned into a puppet and extension of CPI-M party office.

Because of the ill advice of S K Panda and the another brigadier Banamali Sinha, left front government offered job to 10,323 under qualified party cadres as teacher. Finally, when High Court terminated the job of those people last year, whole blame was shifted to the cabinet. But Chief Minister Sarkar was convinced that role of Panda and Sinha in the process of teachers’ job was not at all fair and due to them the crisis deepened.

Panda had elaborated his corrupt racket with Manik’s most preferred civil servant and DYFI state unit Secretary Amal Chakraborty's younger brother BDO Bimal Chakraborty, the then DM of west Tripura Kiran Gitte, former Director Pravin Agarwal and tainted officials of the state forest department and his few friends from Orissa posted in NIT, Tripura University, State Forensic Laboratory, Disaster Management department and secretariat.

He had forged deal with tainted publisher Jnan Bichitra and a few frauds associated in media business. Panda illegally compelled the education department to issue order for purchasing his hopeless publication 'One plus one equals to Eleven' alongwith Chief Minister’s biography. To satisfy him at least three top level officers of Tripura origin is now at serious trouble.

Report claimed that Panda alongwith his team is now about to start a consultancy service in Agartala based in the online fraudulent based in Lichubagan area who occupied the precious land at the behest of Manik Sarkar without having any service.

However, another sources informed that Panda is trying to get the post as Chairman in TPSC but the incumbent Chairman has two more years to complete the tenure. He has been trying to get in consultancy service with corrupt PCCF Sanatan Talukdar and his team in the name of Panchakarma and herbal business.

Reportedly, Panda also approached Chief Minister to honour him to a post of Advisor to the government and he made it clear that without even honorarium, only with logistics and accommodation he will serve here. Panda though his corrupt lobby argued since more than a year he served under Modi government and claimed that he has very close relation with Modi, his entry as Advisor will help communist in Tripura to get money from the centre.

Two weeks before retirement, using funds of Ministry of Textile, Panda made two days extensive personal visit in Tripura during 3rd week of December'2015 mainly liaisoning with his old gangs and attempts to convince Chief Minister Sarkar in his favor.
