TGB to organize Mega Credit Delivery Camp

AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): To mark the 40th Foundation Day, Tripura Gramin Bank has scheduled to organize a Mega Credit Delivery Camp at Mukta Dhara on December 21.

The Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Pradip Dey said in a Press Conference at Press Club that on the occasion of the 40th Foundation Day, Tripura Gramin Bank has taken various other initiatives as a part of social activity.

It has been mentioned that Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty has been scheduled to arrive in the programme.

Besides, a blood donation camp has been organized on Sunday where altogether 67 people have donated their blood.

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. During the programme, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar urged the people to donate their blood voluntarily. Besides, he also urged that this kind of initiatives by the bank must be taken every year.

Tripura Gramin Bank is a Regional Rural Bank established on 21 December 1976 in terms of provisions of Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is sponsored by United Bank of India & is jointly owned by the Government of India, Government of Tripura and UBI.

Since the foundation of Tripura Gramin Bank on December 21 in the year 1976, till day the bank has 142 branches and 12 ultra small branches all across Tripura.

The Bank has distributed blankets and has organized various other social activities for the benefits of the people.

During the Mega Credit Delivery Camp, the consumers who have applied for loans will be provided with sanction slip of the applied loans and the money will be transferred to their account.

It has been mentioned that the target of providing loan will be Rs. 1 crore.
