AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): Poor people’s Left Front Govt led by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has once again successfully made this state AWARD ready to achieve National award for ‘wise-distribution’ of MGNREGA mandays. According to the central govt. website’s records the state Tripura has shown with atleast 67 mandays of work on average. Also in this regard Tripura govt. has already criticized the West Bengal govt.for achieving only 28 mandays. Mamata Banerjee Govt started a food security scheme to provide over three crore beneficiaries foodgrains at Rs.2 per kg, taking to seven crore the number of people getting subsidised food which Manik Sarkar Govt scared to discuss as Tripura Govt is incapable to extend any real help to poor people except CPM cadres. But in comparison with West Bengal (in case of development), where is Tripura actually standing? By using so much mandays where is development? And why so much hundreds of crores MGNREGA corruption inside RD Dept.? Answer is Tripura Govt. whose vote bank’s main source is more the poor people, so CPM has gifted manday money to that section of people to inflate figures in govt records but the fact is “No-Work” actually been done.Most of the cases in village levels, its rampant corruptions and no MGNREGA work was done but in Govt records, work was done and amounts paid out to CPM supporters to keep rural vote bank intact. Manik Govt. needs to keep the rural working class in hand, by using Central’s funds.

Allegations arose many times that the MGNREGA workers are not found in fields, where no progress of works can be noticed.

Moreover, various sources say that the CPI-M  feeding the mind of the poor people about MGNREGA by providing the false information that MGRGA is a State Govt.’s scheme.

So in this way, Tripura Govt. achieves the sympathy of poor people and as well as the funds for various projects are swallowed by RD Dept.’s corrupted officials, as no work is actually done.

However, the state has not yet come out of the shock from 2014’s Rs 51 crore’s MGNREGA scam, mastermided by BDO Bimal Chakraborty; CM Manik Sarkar wasted no time in appointment of GSG Ayyangar as the Principal Secretary of RD Dept.(GSG Ayyangar is an well known corrupt official involved in Hyd Street Light Timer Scam), so more allegations are already coming for embezzling central funds.

But successfully, Tripura Govt. has managed to manipulate records via its CPM supporter officials network so that highest mandays reflects in the financial year 2014-15.

Even though very little was done but Tripura is getting the National award for highest mandays in MGNREGA...so there lies the irony of "Awards".
