NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, Dec 11 (TIWN) : Thousands of youth and students of Manipur marched on the Parliament Street demanding withdrawal of three draconian Bills passed in haste by the Manipur Assembly, which is tending to seize traditional right of the tribals over land and some other basic fundamentals in the guise of Inner Line Permit. It was the 100th day of the agitation. The demonstration carried symbolic coffins of the 9 (nine) unburied bodies, who were killed under police firing.
While speaking MP JIten before the demonstration at Jantar Mantar and raised the issue in the Parliament during Zero Hour, demanding to initiate a political dialogue immediately by engaging the Govt. of Manipur and the agitating Tribal groups, to recall the three Bills(still awaiting for the essence of the President) and to take the confidence of the tribal and other democratic organizations in due process and to promulgate the provision of 6th Schedule in the 5 (five) Tribal majority Districts
