Two daylong seminar on contribution of Shraman Tradition (Boudh-jain) began

AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): The two day long national seminar on contribution of Shraman Tradition (Boudh-jain) in the development of Indian Culture began on Thursday at Ekalavya campus. The seminar is scheduled to get concluded on Nov 27.

The seminar is organised by boudh Darshan Department-Rashtriya Snaskrit Sansthan at the Ekalavya campus.

However, Professor Anjan Kumar Ghosh Vice chancellor of Tripura University, M.Nagaraju secretary, Ministry of industries and commerce, department of health and family welfare along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.

Addressing the program, Professor Shreyansh Kumar Singhai HOD Jain Darshan of Jaipur campus discussed on the importance of Budh-Jain literature and language incorporated in Sanskrit, pali, prakrit, Apabhramsa, significance and traditions of Sharvak and other issues.

However, he also spoke on the importance of Jain art and relevance of Jain philosophy in modern era, role of Buddha Jaina shastras in solving the contemporary problems and others.

Number of participants remains present in the program.

Professor K.B.Subbaraydu principal for Ekalavya campus along with other dignitaries remained present in eth program.

The closing ceremony to be observed by Dr. K. Rajeshwara Rao Princcipal Secretary, Education (school) and planning and principal secretary to CM of Tripura and others on Friday.
