AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): Demanding the withdrawal of the pending cases against the surrendered militants, All Returnees Joint Action Committee (ARJAC) and Joint Action Coordination Committee (JACC) outfits group on Tuesday hold a meeting with 8 charter point of demands at Hotel Brideway.
Speaking at the meeting president of All Returnees Joint Action Committee (ARJAC) central body Daniel Borok said that in response to the government appeals, insurgents had surrendered before the state machineries to lead a normal life. As per the agreement, all the pending cases were supposed to be withdrawn against the surrendered militants. However, the hard reality is that the government has failed to fulfill the commitment, said Borok
Daniel Borok further said that the committee strongly protests the harassment to the outfits.
If our demands remain unheard, the surrendered militants will start mass agitation to Delhi in the next month, added Borok.
However, both the All Returnees Joint Action Committee (ARJAC) and Joint Action Coordination Committee (JACC) is also looking for registering members for their NGO “Hallam Sociey” and they are targeting at least 500 people from all the entire sub-divisions of Tripura.
Organization Presidemnt Daniel Borok, General secretary A.K.Jamatia, Convenor Amit Reang along with other remained present in the meeting.
