AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): One day long orientation programme for teacher educators on innovative pedagogy related to new B.Ed curriculum has been organized on Sunday at Pragna Bhawan.
The main objective of the programme is to sensitise the teacher educators on the common structure, practical, other academic activities and theory papers of the revised B.Ed curriculum.
Speaking at the orientation programme, Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, Prof. Anjan Kumar Ghosh said that at first the teachers should develop their skills so that they can deliver proper guidance to the students.
VC Prof. Anjan Kumar Ghosh on Sunday said that earlier the B.Ed programme was of 1 year but according to the new curriculum in has been extended for 2 years.
To ensure quality teachers are churned out of training colleges, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has made these changes. It has increased the duration of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme from one year to two years, besides modifying the curriculum.
Eventually in this syllabus such issues are involved which are not only quite relevant in present day education system but also worth explorable in academic field.
However, the orientation programme on Innovative Pedagogy related to new B.Ed Curriculum 2015, Tripura University will help the teacher educators to prepare the prospective teachers of the State in an effective manner.
