AGARTALA, August 19 (TIWN): Going forward with the first ever fly-over construction in Tripura, the traffic movement from Battala towards GB is diverted through Paradise Chowmuhani from Tuesday to conduct the soil test from Battala to Fire Brigade Chowmuhani. With the going days, the fly over construction is also progressing in full pace. The soil test work is further expanded from Battala towards Fire brigade Chowmuhani and to ease the traffic congestion the traffic route is diverted from Battala towards GB via Paradise Chowmuhani. It is to be mentioned here that to alleviate the everyday traffic jam at Battala junction following the construction work of the fly-over, the traffic department has already listed out three different routes which the civilian can use to avoid the daily traffic congestion. As the soil test work is in progress and is expanded towards Fire Brigade chowmuhani the traffic is seriously affected in the route due to the narrow roads. Maximum portion of the road is already occupied with the construction material and to avoid the traffic congestion at the Battala junction towards GB via fire brigade the route is diverted through Paradise Chowmuhani.

As paradise Chowmuhani already connects four junctions, the newly shifted route for vehicle movement via paradise Chowmuhani to GB has turned up massive traffic jam at the junction on Tuesday Morning.

Many vehicles including bikes, autos, bus, and rickshaws all stranded for long hours in the road as traffic movement was vigorously disrupted.

For the next two years and possibly more the traffic congestion is going to get worse.

Once fly over is constructed, vehicles from the Nagerjala bus stand will continue to ply on the same path which is expected to reduced the traffic congestion.

The first ever 2-lane flyover in the capital city will lower the traffic jam and it will make a smooth fast track movement of the vehicles.

The main motive of creating the Fly-Over Bridge is to seek solution to hectic traffic jam at Battala. As day by day the population and the number of vehicles are increasing, the problem of traffic is also rising high.
