AGARTALA, August 18 (TIWN): Decision has been taken to increase 3% increment to the regular staffs of TMC, on a board meet of TMC executive Committee members. Despite the continuous issues regarding the “Mess fee” at TMC, this issue was denied to discuss much on Monday’s meeting by the authorities.

The main reason behind this meeting was the issue raised by TMC students for “mess-fee”.  Students of TMC along with their parents demanded not to force them to pay Rs. 24,000 in advance for mess, which had been imposed upon them according to the TMC guideline.

But no solution in favour of the students has been come out. However,a little bit relief has been brought by changing  the process of paying the fee, according to which every students of TMC now will pay Rs.12,000 in the gap of every 6 months.

It’s to be mentioned here that the Chairman Banamali Sinha and CEO Ashok Kr. Poddar had been very determined to take the mess fee of Rs.24,000. According to them  this decision of mess fee had been taken by the previous society. In case of any change within it might send a wrong message to the students.

Moreover, after this dicision regarding paying fees, it was decided that the regular staffs of TMC will get increment very soon.

However, it’s to be mentioned here that  one and half years back, pay-scale had been given to the regular staffs of TMC, but after that for the first time decision has been taken to give increment to the staffs. Now they will get 3 % increment of their salary, decision taken on Monday meeting.
