Cabinet amends Tripura Secretariat Service rules, separate board to recruit for LDC

AGARTALA, August 4 (TIWN): Leaving no stone unturned and allegedly in view of getting chair for party workers the Tripura cabinet on Tuesday amending the Tripura Secretariat Service rules has decided to form separate state board for recruiting competent candidates for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Group-D and other such posts.

Talking to the reporters here at the civil secretariat after the cabinet meeting Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said, “To contain the heavy stress of the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) the state cabinet had decided to form the separate board for recruiting staffs for the LDC and other posts in the secretariat.”

He said that from now the separate board of the state government would recruit the competent candidates for the posts. Earlier the TPSC was in authority to recruit for those posts, said Saha.

Besides, Saha told the reporters that the cabinet on Tuesday had also decided to recruit a total of 14 candidates under several government posts lying vacant.

8 forest rangers would be recruited under the state forest department whereas one contractual post of financial inclusion coordinator would be filled up. Adding to that Saha said one vacant post of Inspector under the Legal Metrology would also be filled up and one librarian would be recruited under the State Tribal Welfare Department.

The cabinet on Tuesday in view of monitoring the state’s first flyover construction work which is currently in progress decided to appoint one new Sub-Division Officer (SDO) and another assistant engineer under the state Public Work Department (PWD).       

Saha in this regard said that main function of the fresh Sub-Division Officer is to monitor and coordinate the ongoing construction work of the flyover road.
