UDAIPUR, July 17 (TIWN): In another major blow, a doctor of Udaipur Gomati district hospital has been accused of a child’s death at Udaipur Gomati district hospital on Wednesday late night.

The incident took place when a pregnant woman was taken to hospital’s labour ward and the baby died during the delivery.

The mother of the infant identified as Popi Ghosh alleged that due to the negligence of the doctor Narayan chandra Das the infant died.

The death of the newly born baby boy at a district hospital created some tension after the family charged the authorities there of alleged negligence. The parents of the baby said that their son died due to the carelessness attitude of the doctors during the delivery time of the baby.

Relatives of the deceased baby boy and others gathered in front of the hospital on Wednesday night and demand action against the doctor.

However, the doctor completely denied the allegation rose against him and he said that the baby was dead by birth due to some problems in his throat.

A pall of gloom descended over the family members for the unexpected death of the child.

The family member of the deceased infant alleged that the child due to the wrong treatment by the doctor and the infant died after he was hardly pressed in his body while the mother was delivering the child.

Agitated father Ajay Ghosh got into a scuffle with the doctor and demanded strict action against that accused doctor.

Getting alarm the R. K. Pur police reached the spot and after several hours of attempt the police bought the situation under control.

The body of the infant is handed over to the family members and police is further investigating the case.
