AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Narendra Modi led BJP Government’s slogan of “Acche Din” turns into “Bure Din” in the one year’s tenure, claimed CPI-M. Criticizing the role of Modi Government, Left Front Committee’s Chairman, Khagen Das said that during the one year reign of Modi, the claims that BJP Government calls about the welfare of the citizen affects people the most.

Mr. Das further said that in this single year BJP Government only shows their unfaithfulness towards the people and thinks of the benefit of the corporate classes. The changes that had been occurred in the major fields like defense, railway, higher education and health sector benefit the corporate class at the utmost.

Besides that the price of diesel and petrol are increasing frequently day after day. Employment opportunities for the youths seem to be consolidated day by day. The prices of essential commodities are also rising day by day. Discrimination in financial sector was also witnessed. According to Mr. Das, NITI AYOG had curved the rights of the States.

Statement also marked that since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in May 2014, there had been growing communal polarization as well as growing economic burdens on the people. It has infiltrated known RSS men into higher educational institutions, communalize curriculum.

The Communist Party of India-Marxist said during the last one year, massive economic burdens had been imposed on the people. Two massive hikes have been made in petrol and diesel prices within a span of two weeks. Apart from adding to the overall inflationary spiral, this constitutes a criminal attack on rural India particularly farmers who are battling a series of bad weather conditions during the last one year.

Unseasonal rains have ruined standing crops and it is estimated that 180 million hectares of agricultural crops has been affected. Consequently, incidence suicides by farmers are growing. The party condemned "the utterly callous attitude” displayed by the BJP government in addressing the concerns of the farmers who have suffered heavy losses. The CPI-M accused the Modi government of contemplating major changes in the labour laws of the country.
