Negligence of police peaks new high in Udaipur

UDAIPUR, May 25 (TIWN): 18 days have been passed, after the case registration of Renu Bala Tripura, whose dead-body was found in Brahmhachara, Udaipur. But no clue has been gathered by the police to find out the criminals involved in this crime, which reflects the ‘retarded attitude’ of police in Udaipur.

In the name of post mortem (PM) report (which has not yet come out) police have not done any investigation on this case, sources said. It is to be mentioned here that Renu Bala Tripura(35), W/O-Bikram Manik Tripura had been murdered brutally in Brahmhachara area on May 8, although after continuous pushing by the media to the SDPO of Udaipur  Ratan Das, still the PM report could not be recovered by the police from the doctor. As a result whether Renu Bala Tripura was only being murdered or ‘murdered after rape’, it is not clear to the police.

Renu Bala Tripura’s dead body was found in a forest of Bhrahmhachara, Udaipur, where she went to collect bamboo suits. Her body was found in a pathetic condition, tied with ropes along with many injuries which left on her body. According to the local people Renu Bala must was a rape victim and while talking to Bikram Manik Tripura, H/O- Renu Bala Tripura, he indicated the same and also added that his wife might have become a victim of family disputes.

Hence Police did not work on the case at all by saying that “the post mortem report is to come yet, which would come soon, without which police can’t do any investigation further”, said Ratan das, SDPO on May 12. Surprisingly, after 18 days of passage when TIWN correspondent asked SDPO Ratan Das on May 25, about the update of the case, the same answer was repeated by him once again. He said, “This post mortem report may come today.” It seems that the police in Udaipur is dealing with criminal cases giving values to them less than a child’s homework.
