BELONIA, May 24 (TIWN): On yet another failure of the police, the Belonia Additional District and Session Court on Saturday registering a case against at least 5 accused persons on charge of killing resident of Belonia Mohondoria Nagpara Swapan Malla asked the police to investigate the case.

The court on Saturday issued a notice with the Belonia PS Police to register the case and conduct investigation on it. Deceased Swapan Malla’s dead body was recovered from his living room on May 7, 2015. Later police termed the incident to be an unnatural death and washed their hand from the case.

But deceased Swapan Malla’s elder brother Sankar Malla on Saturday lodged a complaint with the court alleging that his brother had not committed suicide but he was murdered by Partha Sarkar along with 5 other accused.  

Reportedly on May 5, 2015 Swapan Malla known to be a mentally ill person consumed liquor and roamed drunk at Belonia Paikhola Bazar area and also had a clash with other locals. But since then he went missing and later getting a bed smell from inside his room on May 7 the locals informed to police.

The police then breaking the room door recovered his dead body in a hanging position and registered the case as an unnatural death. However but, this has brought another failure by the police after the court on Saturday issued a notice to the Belonia Police asking to register the case as murder.
