AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Amit Shah's fiery speech targeting Manik Sarkar and CPI-M Govt's multiple corruptions causing sleepless nights for Chief Minister's CPI-M lobby in Melarmath. During Congress UPA-I and II rule in Delhi, Manik Sarkar always got the enormous Central fundings by using CPI-M Politburo member Sitaram Yechury, considered close to Sonia Gandhi. But during Narendra Modi’s BJP rule , Manik is yet to find a conduit to save CPI-M party from the lack of Central Fundings. Modi Govt. already curtailed MGNREGA fundings as major part of these fundings were siphoned off by CPI-M mostly showing fake ‘REGA mandays” and ‘completed’ projects. Not only that, Chief Minister’s close aides like scamster BDO Bimal Chakrabory looted crores of MGNREGA money from Bisalgarh RD Block. Amit Shah slammed the CPI-M led Govt for failing on various fronts in the State. Criticizing the CPI-M led Govt, Amit Shah said that the Centre is giving adequate funds to the State, but development in Tripura did not take place in 2 decades as it should have been. Amit Shah said, “The left front govt. in Tripura has brought no development to the state rather than corruption, scams and deprivation for the common masses.”

BJP president also said, “Modi-Govt.’s policy to bring a development to the North eastern region.” Adding to that Shah pitched the people of the state to make Tripura a Left free state.

MGNREGA unrest across Tripura engulfing CPI-M leaders and offices.

Agitated REGA workers of Sankhola ADC village under Hejamara Block gheraoed local CPI(M) party ofiice demanding  payment of their REGA wages on Monday.

It seems the REGA unrest started in the state in the early part of the month has no intension to get stopped as more and more areas are being enulfed by the menace everyday. The newly created Hejamara block  appears to be the most affected by the problem as more and more ADC villages are being engulfed by the menace everyday. The ruling CPI(M) is finding it difficult to manage the block as even after denouncing the unrest as the creation of INPT and IPFT the administration and the party local units are unable to content the frustrated REGA workers who are demanding immediate payment of their dues.

The agitated REGA workers in large numbers gheraoed the local CPI(M) party office here at Sankhala ADC village demanding payment of their dues.

The local party leaders tried to pacify the irrate workers but the frustration was so acute that they did not listen to the party heads and started shouting blaming the local leadership of the party.

Police and TSR personnel present there in advance with anticipation of  trouble resorted to lathicharge and used water canon to scatter the crowd. Thepolice also used tear gas shells to disperse the crowd from the party office side. More than twentyfive persons were reportedly hurt in the police lathicharge. The TSR and police personnel even stopped the media person from going near the agitating workers.

Meanwhile, tension is brewing in another two villages of the block namely Ramsankar para and Bharat Chowdhury para ADC villages where the REGA workers are demonstrating in front of the CPI(M) party offices demanding payment of their dues.

What is interesting now is thev fact that the RERGA workers are now taking the CPI(M) party office bearers as the responsible for the delay in the payment and are pleading the local unit leaders for their undue payment.

Agitated workers blocked the Agartala- Khowai Road at Subalsingh in demand of their REGA payment distrupting vehicle movement through the area.
