AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Making the decks ready for BJP All India Secretary Amit Shah, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pradesh Committee slams the then Congress led UPA-II govt. at the centre and the only Left front govt. in Tripura for its poor performance across the state. BJP claimed that the congress and the Left front govt. during their regime of power at the state have always owned an anti-people policy. “It is only the Left front govt. in Tripura which has shown dream to the poor people of the state and later managed to loot their money,” said BJP leader Arun Kanti Bhowmik recently. He also said that the left front govt. has only presented a series of deprivation to those people. “People of the state could see no development under the regime of the Left front at the state while Congress at the center,” Bhowmik said. He also said that the left front govt. in Tripura has failed to provide good governance here as a result the poor people of the state is deprived at large.

Talking in regard of the Chit fund companies he said that a massive financial loot, corruptions and scams managed to take birth under the regime of the left front govt.

However later raising a Modi-slogan “Saabka Sath Saabka Vikash” Bhowmik appealed to the people of the state to join BJP and create a new Tripura.

He announced that BJP All India Secretary Amit Shah would arrive here on Monday to attend the BJP organized public gathering in wake of the ADC election.

Shah would address a massive rally at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. Later, he would hold meetings with party leaders and office bearers and review the ongoing pre-poll preparations and is likely to give suggestions to the party leaders to secure better results in the coming elections, said Bhowmik.

He is slated to leave the state the next morning. Earlier, Amit Shah has convened a meeting at BJP office in New Delhi to discuss different developmental issues related to northeastern states.

The BJP, for the first time, secured a majority in five gram panchayats and won many seats in other gram panchayats and panchayat samitis last year in the Left-ruled Tripura.

The BJP also fielded candidates in the polls to the tribal autonomous councils in Manipur (May 30) and Tripura (May 3).
