KAILASHAHAR, April 26 (TIWN): After passing of nine years only nine percent of work is completed for the construction of Stadium at Vidya Nagar School complex in Kailashahar. In 2006 the left front government had decided to build a stadium at Vidya Nagar School and allotted a fund of Rs 1.5 crore but even after nine years only nine percent of construction is completed.

The entire amount which was allotted by the government has been embezzlement by the corrupt official and is now locked in the bank accounts of the corrupt officials, said sources.

A section of CPI-M leaders is also involved in the embezzlement and now are playing the role of mute spectators, sources added.

The source further added that the construction site is about 100 meters away from the house of the local MLA Birajit Sinha the new PCC president. But the opposition is also playing the rule of mute spectators.

The foundation stone was laid by the then Minister for former sports Keshab Majumder in the year 2007.
