AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): The newly build multistoreyed and the so called modernized IGM hospital along with the moving hands of the clock has been fuming over several crisis inside causing suffering to the patients at large. The hospital is lacking water facilities in its toilets and bathrooms resulting the patients coming out from the hospital and using the toilets outside.

Besides, incessant power cut at the hospital is also causing havoc among the patients. The lifts were found nonfunctional since Tuesday 2:00 AM, as a result people are carrying the patients inside the hospital through a stair cases. The hospital also lacks ramp facility due to which the stair cases have become the only alternate to the nonfunctioning of the lift.

Beside, the ICU ward of the hospital also remained paralysed due to the power cut or low voltage. As a result the patients in the ward are also undergoing several problems.

However, though on Wednesday morning the power was found in low voltage at the hospital but the lift service remained paralysed causing heavy sufferings for the patients.

The patients on Wednesday alleged that though the hospital building was made spending handsome amount, but since after the hospital has been fuming over several crisis especially the water crisis has hit the hospital and its patients severely.

Most surprisingly in the wake of erratic drinking water supply at the Government IGM Hospital here, in-patients are allegedly forced to fetch it from a pumping station nearby. Several problems gripped the Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) hospital in the heart of capital city- Agartala as the concerned authority failed to ensure minimum healthcare services in the hospital till date.

Though the state government initiated to set up quite a few multi-stories building to deliver the quality treatment facilities but the improvement of treatment systems in government hospitals are still remained in a dismal condition.
