AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): The preplanned idea of so called “Mr. Clean” Manik Sarkar finally turns into success. In 51 crore MGNREGA scam of Bishalgarh R.D Block the prime accused and close aide of Manik Sarkar, Bimal Chakraborty finally gets conditional bail as Police (as instructed by CM) failed to submit fool-proof charge-sheet. The additional session court judge Udit Choudhury granted bail as Bimal completed 180 days in jail custody and police failed to submit charge sheet. The condition for getting bail – signing a bond of Rs 2 lakh and guarantor of government employee. Besides,Bimal should appear before the investigation officer at regular interval after gap of 15 days. Keeping the lower court’s direction in mind, while the investigation team of multi­crore MGNREGA scam case played the drama of submitting the complete charge sheet, the main suspense lies in the fact that the bigwigs of the scam tried to save their own fate by releasing Bimal. Under these clouds of massive corruptions, Tripura's only hope now lies with High Court of Tripura - only Tripura High Court can order a CBI investigation into Rs 51 crore MGNREGA corruption which will unearth the involvement of top brass of CPI-M leaders, Ministers like Bhanulal Saha and Chief Minister's role in aiding scamster BDO Bimal Chakraborty.

According to highly placed sources of  Melarmath, both CPI­M party and Manik Sarkar himself  ordered the  top bosses of police to delay the filing of final charge sheet of this multicrore scam. At the earliest, Manik Sarkar wants to hide all the evidence of the case through police at least to save him. Earlier Manik was also ready to sacrifice Bhanu regarding the MGNREGA scam and decided if situation comes the CPI-M led State Government will axe Bhanu immediately.

It is to be mentioned that Bimal Chakraborty belongs to a powerful CPI­M family and close to Manik Sarkar. Bimal’s brother Amal Chakraborty is CPI­-M youth wing DYFI’s Secretary. Another brother Kamal Chakraborty is SP-Security looking after Chief Minister’s security and eldest brother Shyamal Chakraborty is a Chemistry teacher in Calcutta University who is proposed to be Vice Chancellor of newly coming Tripura state university.

After the submission of 1350­page partial charge sheet into multicrore MGNREGA scam of Bishalghar RD Block on January 16, the Additional District and Session Court, West directed the investigation officer to prepare and tender the complete charge sheet within two months, said the official source. But even after passing more than two months, no proper steps had been taken. Despite that till now two accused of MGNREGA scam Mita Malakar and Debasish Nandi fled away from the trap of police.
