AGARTALA, April 20(TIWN): On yet another major twist to Kalpana Das murder case, Arijit Das said “CM Manik Sarkar and Minister Manik Dey were indirectly responsible for the murder of Kalpana Das because both ignored Jiten’s wife Kalpana’s multiple complaints”. Talking to TIWN, Ajit Das, brother of the deceased Kalpana Das, expressed that Jiten often used to torture his wife Kalpana brutally. Das claimed, “My sister Kalpana Das had even written letters to CM Manik sarkar and Minister Manik Dey about Jiten’s torture on her, but knowing everything no help has been extended to my sister.”However, this has of course raised another question now and has brought a twist to the Kalpana Das murder case. Several letters allegedly written to CM Manik Sarkar and Minister Manik Dey by Kalpana Das has not brought any solution to the torture of Jiten Das on wife Kalpana. Besides, according to the highly placed source of police on Sunday evening informed TIWN that “Police has got some major clues related to Kalpana Das murder incident on their special investigation and interrogation to the 4 accused at different police stations”.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had also visited accused Jiten’s house and interrogated the local people in regard of the case,” source added. According to the source, police is also inspecting the bank pass books and other important documents that belong to Kalpana Das and Jiten Das.

It would be wise enough to comment here that, if the state govt. had taken any necessary step against Jiten following the letters of Kalpana than the day would not have come to Kalpana where she breathed her last by her husband Jiten.

Besides, it is also to be mentioned here the endorsement of the state govt. to Jiten and his act against Kalpana likely to face a censure in the coming days.

Source added, “Police is now looking forward to collect some more important clues that would help to trace out the reason of the murder as well as other culprits involved to the murder case.”

However, the women police also started its investigation as part of which recently the women police has visited accused Jiten Das’ house. It is to be mentioned here that Police yet after the passage of 2 days could not recover the sharp cutter that was used to kill Kalpana Das.
