AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Just ahead of the visit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on April 27 here in the state BJP central leader and state in-charge Sunil Deodhar on Thursday arrived here in Tripura ahead of the TTAADC election to take stock of the current organizational strength of the party.

Speaking to the media persons at Banamalipur Sunil Deodhar said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the world’s number one party and it has an membership of around 10 crore. “We will win the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election here in the state and we have already launched a strong movement against the CPI-M and discard the politics of Congress”, said Sunil Deodhar.

He further said that the party has divided the 28 seats of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) in 7 zones and the party leaders are conducting door to door campaign in all the 7 zones.

BJP has also decided to prepare a roadmap for ensuring development of northeast region and strengthening its base in various states there. The decision was taken at a meeting of party office bearers with party chief Amit Shah at New Delhi, said Sunil Deodhar recently.

"We have already launched a strong movement against the CPI-M and discard the politics of Congress. We have no doubt in snatching power from the CPIM in the next 2018 Assembly elections in this state," he added.

"The party is getting an overwhelming response in its on-going membership drive. In the last one month, the total number of new members have crossed one crore mark while 1.59 crore have been registered through a missed called on the toll free numbers," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, party workers are also spreading awareness about its ideology and the goals set by its top brass to take it closer to people. Party leaders are visiting every district to get the public’s feedback on BJP’s success and what it holds for the country’s future.

He also criticized the tight-lipped gesture of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar over the increasing crimes and vowed to intensify party’s agitation across the state. He also urged the public to condemn the role of Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio. The 22-year misrule has resulted in the state being labeled the least developed state in the country. Corruption has mushroomed in every sphere, he claimed.
