Santirbazar, April 16 (TIWN): A Tribal man have ventured into a densely forested area near the remote village of Ghoddha Kumar Bari under Satirbazar sub-division on Thursday in search of fire woods when a wild sloth bear attacked him critically.
Identified as a 40-year-old Tribal man named Ratan Kumar Tripura, the villager have come face-to-face with the bear and, fearing for his life, before even running away; wild bear attacked him critically.
Ratan Kumar Tripura's cry for help attracted villagers to the forest area and villagers brought the bleeding man to nearby hospital, from where he is transferred to Gomati District Hospital.
Ratan Kumar Tripura's condition is critical as this sloth bear mauled his body all over with scratches and bleeding and patient is in the process of being shifted to Agartala's GB Hospital.
