AGARTALA, April 12 (TIWN): Filing of nomination for the upcoming TTAADC election had ended peacefully. A total of 205 nominations had been submitted for the 28 constituencies. The scrutiny of the nominations will be doneon Monday. April 16th will be the last day of withdrawing the nomination papers. However, for the peaceful election 21 company central forces should be deployed in the state.In the last day of filing the nominations 32 candidates had submitted their nomination. Earlier 173 candidates of different political parties filed nominations for contesting in the ensuing ADC poll. Political parties in Tripura, Congress, CPI-M, BJP, INPT, IPFT and other parties gearing up for the forthcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election. Almost all the parties have started campaigning in favour of their candidates.

 Besides, the police administration is also preparing a massive security arrangement to conduct the TTAADC polls in a peaceful atmosphere, said a source.However in the upcoming TTAADC Election, 16 observers had been appointed in the 28 district council constituencies for smooth election process. The office of the Election Commissioner of the Zilla Parishad had issued this notice.

It is to be mention here that the TTAADC election will be conducted on May3 where, 58,554 voters including 3, 75,117 women are eligible to exercise their franchise. Counting will be held on May 6," The TTAADC was formed in January 1982 under the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution and later its powers were promoted by amending the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution in August 1984 to protect and safeguard the political, economic and cultural interests of the tribals. 

The tribal council constitutes two third of the state territory and home to the tribals who form one third of the population.
