AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) today, placed a deputation to the Superintendent of Police (SP) West Bijoy nag today demanding for a stern action against the accused husband Prashenjt Pal (35) following the incident of the recovery of a dead body one housewife on March 31. However at present husband Prashenjt remains absconding with the family members of the deceased rising allegation against her in-law members. Besides, Police arrested the father in-law of the deceased

The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Ramnagar road no. 3, where one Sarmishtha (housewife) was found dead on her living room in a hanging position. According to the family members of the deceased Sarmistha and locals of Ramnagar, it was a pre-plan murder incident. It was alleged that the issue of dowry had claimed the life of Sarmishtha (28). An FIR was lodged with the Women Police Station (West). However, later the Police on a primary investigation arrested the father in-law Ganesh Pal.

Bishnupada Pal’s daughter Sramishtha Pal resident of Bhatiabhoynagar Albert Club was married to Ganesh pal’s son Prashenjit Pal a resident of Ramnagar road no.3. Since after the marriage husband Prashenjit started torturing Sarmishtha in claim of dowry. A series of allegation rose against the accused husband Prashenjit. It was alleged that Prashenjit married Sramishtha inj the name of a contractor by profession but Prashenjit is allegedly engaged to land mafia. He often used to torture Sarmishtha to bring money from her father’s house.

Deceased Sramishtha was a mother of one child Pranjit Pal (11). Recently he is under the care of deceased’s father and mother. On Tuesday afternoon sarmishtha left her son Pranjit with her father Bishynupada’s house, and later, after she comes to her in-law’s hose she was found dead in the evening on her living room in a hanging position.

Later getting an alarm of the incident that had triggered a huge resentment among the locals of Ramnagar on Tuesday, the Police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body of Sramishtha . Police primarily managed to arrest the father in-law Ganesh Pal, while the accused husband Prashenjit remained absconding yet today. However, the AIDWA following the incident that termed as pre-planned murder placed a deputation with the SP (West) Bijoy Nag and demanded for an immediate arrest of the accused husband.

Though, it’s a time now to witness what steps the police administration takes against the accused in-law members.
