AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): A daring theft occurred at the Khowai Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, located in the heart of Khowai city, just 100 meters away from the police station.
The thieves broke into the school last night, smashing 35 almirahs and 11 locks, and made off with several items.
This incident has sent shockwaves throughout Khowai city, with residents expressing concern over the rising number of thefts in the area. Recently, two schools in Chebri area were also targeted by thieves, further fuelling public anxiety.
The local community is questioning the effectiveness of the police administration, which seems unable to curb these incidents. "The police administration's inability to control these thefts has led to widespread frustration among the public," locals said.
The public is eagerly awaiting action from the authorities to prevent such incidents in the future and restore a sense of security in the community.
