AGARTALA/ BISHALGARH, Feb 19 (TIWN): Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday inaugurated Bishalgarh Book Fair 2025.

MLA Sushanya Chowdhury, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee were also present on the occasion.

"I am not an intellectual like a writer but still I try to read books. Books have the soul of all great people around the world. It's the source of knowledge and in each page their (great people's) soul remains. One good book is equal to hundred good friends," said Nath.

"If you look back the history, in 1452, Germany was first to launch a book fair. The local book sellers organized the book fair," he added.

He further mentioned about Abu Dhabi book fair, which is internationally very popular.
