Agartala, February 8 (TIWN): With an effort to reach the Kakborok language across the world through digital standard, Unicode in Kokborok language will be inaugurated at Agartala Press Club onFebruary 09. Member of Parliament (MP) Jitendra Chowdhury would inaugurate the Unicode in a ceremony.
Though, the formation of Kokborok Unicode was done few years back, there was no initiative for the inauguration of it due to less attention, said Hiralal Debbarma, who created the Unicode.
By using any other languages, it is quite impossible to express the exact meaning of mind and to satisfy the nearest people in the modern technology era, said Debbarma.
As a result, the establishment of this Unicode would enable around 18 lakh Kokborok speaking people of Tripura, Assam, Mizoram and Bangladesh to share their thoughts and other information through web-site, E-mail, E-book and social networking sites, Debbarma added.
