AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Indian National Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera raised question, how cum the anti-incumbency against Narendra Modi reversed in a state like Maharashtra within a gap of 4 months ? Like Haryana, Congress rejected the verdict of the election in Maharashtra as voters mandate. Talking to media, Pawan Khera said, “The same pattern has been repeated in Maharashtra, which we have got to see in the last few years."
"Maharashtra had rejected BJP in the Lok Sabha elections contested in the name of Narendra Modi, because the public did not want to see Modi ji as PM. The same Maharashtra gave 132 out of 148 seats to BJP after 4 months. What kind of strike rate is this?," Khera said.
“Where BJP has to take huge advantage, they put all the bets and allow the rest of the level playing field to run," he said referring Congress led partners' win in Jharkhand.
"In a country where exam papers' are not secured and get leaked, how can we blindly trust on the EVMs and electoral process? You only tell now", he added in an address to the media.
