AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Drug smuggling goes rampant in the Tripura-Bihar route. A total of four persons were arrested in this connection in two different operations from Agartala Railway station. Agartala GRP Police Station OC-Tapas Das said, that in the first operation three persons Puja Devi, from Assam. Parbesh Kumar Singh from Bihar and Reshmi Kumar from Bihar were arrested. They were planwise transferring Ganja from Tripura to Bihal via Railway.
Das also said, that in the second operation, Sunny Kumar from Patna was arrested with phensedyls. Those narcotics were transferred through a lady's bag.
The seized phensedyl would be worth over eighty thousand rupees whereas the Ganja would be around fifty thousand rupees.
Each of them was produced before the court for police remand. Police will thoroughly interrogate them to delve deeper into the narcotic racket.
