New Delhi, July 25 (TIWN): Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala on Thursday addressing the parliament took a dig at the NDA’s budget planning and said, “Modi government only makes big schemes within the budget, but never spends its money. The government has never spent 3 lakh crore rupees for the schemes related to farmers. PM Kisan Scheme- The total budget was 40,3,000 crore rupees, but only 2,34,783 crore was spent. That means keeping 48% money to myself.”
“Interest subsidy for short term credit to farmers- The total budget was 1,68,743 crore rupees, but only 1,11,423 crore rupees spent. That means kept 34% of money to myself. National Agricultural Development Scheme- The total budget was 54,543 crore rupees, but spent only 27,385 crore rupees. That means kept 50% of the money to myself,”, Surjewala said.
“National Horticulture Mission- Its total budget is 19,478 crore rupees, but spent only 14,108 crore rupees. PM Crop Insurance Plan- Its total budget is Rs 1,22,050 crore, but spent only Rs 88,635 crore. That means keeping 28% money to myself,” he added.
