NEW DELHI, July 2 (TIWN): After opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s firing speech on Monday against political-religious polarization that he brought against the BJP, Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal on Tuesday delivered another piece of vibrant speech in the house, chaired by speaker Jagdambika Pal. During the speech, Venugopal pinched BJP by quoting Prime Minister Modi in his election speech where he claimed Rahul Gandhi would not win from Wayanad and Raebareli but the election result led Rahul Gandhi to win with margins of 4 lakhs of votes which is more than double than what Prime Minister Modi received in Varanasi.

“Technically, they are in power. The BJP was confident of winning 400+ seats but only managed to win 240. That too after misusing ED, CBI, IT dept and spreading hatred through corporate-sponsored media. The BJP also misused the election commission. Without these tactics, the BJP could not have managed to win more than 140 seats. Morally, the INDIA alliance has defeated the BJP. While campaigning in Kerala, Modi ji said----After Amethi, Rahul ji is going to lose Wayanad, and this is why he is going to Raebareli. He won from both constituencies with a bigger margin than Modi ji”, said Venugopal to the house.
