AGARTALA, April 8 (TIWN): Election Commission of India suspended three government officials in Tripura for attending political rallies.

The suspended officials are Rasu Chowdhury who is an employee of the Education department, Kishan Debbarma, TSR jawan and Pritam Debroy, a teacher.

According to the report, the education and police departments both have taken action after notice issued by the commission.

This is not a single incident in this poll Special Police Officer (SPO) Suman Hossain was also recently suspended for violating model code of conduct in a same way by participating in rallies.
