AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Domestic violence forced a housewife to set fire to self.

The deceased Moumita Das was allegedly being tortured by her husband, who often used to stay drunk.

On 25^th December, Moumita returned to home but after few days, her husband took her back promising, he would not torture him.

But soon, the situation worsened again. To get rid of continuous tortures, Moumita set herself to fire on January 16. Today Moumita breathed her last.

Victim family said, they would file FIR against the husband for forcing her to commit suicide.
