AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): After 5 eligible candidates filed petition in Tripura High Court after they were deprived of JRBT jobs even after having higher scores than the appointed candidates, Tripura Congress lambasted the BJP Govt over the irregularities. Addressing a press meet, a Congress leader said, “The BJP Govt does not mention the address of the appointed candidates which itself shows the ill motive of the Govt to hide the irregularities. The JRBT recruitment corruption is not an allegation of any political party but it was confirmed by High Court as the Court has asked the state govt to appoint the 5 eligible candidates within a month. We demand an investigation into the entire issue. We do not trust Tripura Govt’s investigation and so Congress demands a Judicial investigation. We do not want anyone’s termination in JRBT like 10323 teachers’ case. We demand the Govt should immediately recruit not only those 5 petitioners but everyone who was deprived of their jobs."
“This is only about 5 candidates, but we believe many were deprived of the jobs due to irregularities. The entire recruitment process should be reviewed and a proper investigation is needed under the observation of a High Court judge”, said the Congress leader.
The party also criticized the BJP Govt for its publicity with job recruitments referring how from CM to Ministers are engaged in distribution of offer letters in phases.
“Since job recruitment started in this state, all offer letters were distributed at a time but strangely, BJP Govt is distributing offer letters step by step. The entire system is questionable”, he added.
