AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): BJP’s protests against Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman are not getting public response after Assembly chaos of Friday as the source of the chaos was embarrassing for BJP that’s Jadab Lal Nath, a BJP MLA who watched porn clips during Assembly Budget Session on March 27, 2023. As no action was taken against the BJP MLA so Congress MLA Sudip Barman had thrown GANGA-JAL in the Assembly to purify it from porn clip watching sin. After that during a heated argument Sudip Barman allegedly used “Dog”/ “Tommy” like words in the Assembly. Centering all these, BJP held protest and today BJP Mohila Morcha workers protested by throwing GANGA-JAL at the MLA’s hostel. However, amid all these, BJP is still answerless about Jadab Lal Nath matter and failing to clarify why there was no action against Jadab Lal Nath yet.

After 5 MLAs’ suspension in  Assembly for protests violating the guidelines (as some of them climbed on table), Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya said, “It is unfortunate that the Hon’ble Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly didn’t take any cognisance, let alone take action on the MLA Jadab Lal Nath, who was caught watching obscene content (porn) in the assembly (during the last session), but instead suspended 5 opposition MLAs (3 TIPRA Motha MLAs) who were demanding due action on the concerned MLA. If the government and the speaker are so much concerned about upholding the sanity and dignity of the house, then they must take prompt action against the MLA who brought shame to the whole state by his heinous act inside the temple of democracy”.
