AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): The police arrested four Bangladeshi citizens who entered India illegally from Bangladesh on November 30. The incident occurred at the Irani PS in Kailashahar.

Abul Awal, the investigating officer of this case and the police officer of Irani PS said that on Tuesday late night, BSF detained 4 Bangladeshi citizens while crossing the border through Latiapura village Panchayat area. After detaining the four Bangladeshi nationals, they were taken to the local BSF camp, interrogated and was handed over to Irani police station on Wednesday morning.

The police of Irani PS interrogated the four persons and found out that their homes are in Dhaka and other places in Bangladesh. The police recovered three thousand Indian rupees, seven hundred and fifty Bangladeshi rupees, two fake Aadhaar cards, one fake voter card and five mobile phones from them.

Investigating police officer Abul Awal also said that the Bangladeshi nationals told the police that they had come to India to join work in Tamil Nadu From Dhaka in Bangladesh through a broker named Alal in Moulvibazar District of Bangladesh.

However, total of twelve Bangladeshi nationals were detained in the past one week who entered India illegally/
