“Various BJP leaders are now arriving in Tripura and claiming that Tripura is undergoing Sushashan and will be in the top position for good governance. If this is the condition of Sushashan then in Sushashan no woman can go outside safely. Such statements also increase miscreants’ courage”, said former MP Jharna Das.

The CPI-M women wing also added the murder of a woman whose half-naked dead body was found near her home.

The agitators demanded immediate arrests of culprits in all such cases and the expansion of securities further to ensure the safety of women.

The CPI-M members wore black clothes to protest against the rising crimes where most of the criminals belong to the BJP Party.
