AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): Local people of Ward No-4 of Bhumiheen Colony in Chakmaghat Panchayat, under Teliamura are suffering due to pathetic road condition and water crisis problems. Due to these problems they have been suffering for years but even after the Govt was in 2018 changed the living condition of the villagers was never improved. When the entire state is busy celebrating Diwali, the villagers of Bhumiheen Colony are struggling with basic needs like drinking water.

Around 80 families live in the area comprising various communities but the water supply arrangement is poorly made resulting in not even 30% of the demand being supplied. There is only one deep tubewell and no other source of water is existing there.

Many times, locals raised the matter to the political leaders, DWS officials but no improvement happened.

At the same time parallelly the road condition remains critical there due to no maintenance for years. Vehicle movements have turned almost impossible because of the deplorable road condition. From patients parties to school students all are suffering due to the miserable condition of the roads.

Locals demanded immediate repairing of the roads and at least two more tubewells should be installed there.
