AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers who have been claiming that only minimum numbers of teachers among 10323 were terminated met Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday at the Secretariat. Talking to 10323 teachers’ leader Bijoy Krishna Saha, he told media that CM Manik Saha has assured to take a decision for 10323 teachers between Laxmi Puja to Dipabali. “We hope that our new CM (Manik Saha) is not like our previous CM (Biplab Deb) and new CM would keep his given words to us. We will wait till the festival season and if no solution comes out, we have our open path which is a protest”.
Bijoy Krishna Saha also said, “Cabinet has tremendous power and if Govt wants, it can take any decision. We requested the CM to take action in this matter and we have submitted all required documents and also the RTI reply copy of Supreme Court which says that not all the 10323 teachers were terminated”.
“Earlier also we said that we will not protest during the Durga puja which is the biggest annual festival of us. So let’s wait till the puja, hoping that finally, things will be in our support”, said Saha.
A huge number of TSR, Police were deployed during the 10323 teachers’ meetings with CM Manik Saha.
