AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): Reportedly, the local people of Maiganga area have been suffering for a long time due to the rise of illegal drugs trade. The drug mafia, Mithu of Maiganga area is involved in the destruction of youth society by supplying drugs. Drugs are buying from drug smuggler Mithu from local youths to other local youths, throughout the Maiganga area day and night. Although the police administration has been informed for a long time to the Police administration but it is alleged that they are playing the role of silent spectators. Breaking the barrage of patience, the people of Teliaamura Maiganga area on Sunday arrested 4 youths handed them over to the Teliyamura police, who came to buy drugs from Mithu.

The detained 4- youths arrested by the police are Deepak Biswas, Dipankar, Alak, and Aman respectively. By interrogating them, it is known that they have been intoxicating this for a long time. The police confiscated 2 boxes of drugs and syringes used to consume drugs from them.

The police managed to nab drug buyers but the kingpins of the drug business like Mithu are beyond the reach of the police.
