AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister, Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar has slammed the BJP MLAs and Assembly Speaker for their attitudes inside the Assembly, alleging BJP does not want to face any question because it’s already been caught red-handed by the public for its lies, fake promises to voters. “What BJP had promised before the election and what it is doing, it is all visible before the public eyes. There is nothing new to say about it. Our MLAs placed certain questions but the Speaker was not allowing us to discuss a single issue. It forced us to walk out”, said Sarkar.

“BJP had promised to give 50000 Govt jobs in a year but failed to give even 5000 to 7000 jobs in 4.5 years and the jobs are maximum not permanent but employed through outsourcing. So the Assembly Speaker does not have any other option but to divert the issues. The speaker was consistently trying to change the topic and to suppress our questions”, said Sarkar.

Manik Sarkar further said that Tripura BJP Govt’s Ministers, MLAs hardly give any statement in front of media regarding real issues. So CPI-M MLAs' asked the questions in the Assembly but as the BJP has nothing to say as it's guilty of not fulfilling any promise given before the Assembly Poll, it is now escaping from the issue and trying to use other issues to suppress the real issue.

Sarkar stated that from job aspirants to students all are upset with the BJP Govt.
