AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Thursday while addressing media after casting vote for Rajya Sabha poll at Tripura Assembly said that BJP is attacking the opposition as its afraid to lose election amid its losing public support. On being asked by media what is his prediction about the upcoming poll and how much rigging-free election he is expecting, Manik Sarkar said, BJP would organize rigging, violence but this time public is in different mood and they will cast their votes at any cost.
Referring Wednesday’s Udaipur violence, Sarkar said that amid BJP’s threats hundreds of people joined in CPI-M meeting but 3 vehicles from ADC were attacked in front of the Girls’ school.
“When I visited Gomati Dist hospital, I saw the injured people in miserable condition. They were so brutally attacked by the BJP miscreants. Such cowardly actions of BJP show how much it’s afraid to lose the upcoming polls", said Sarkar.
