AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Even though 72 hours have passed since the rape of the minor in Yuvrajnagar, Dharmanagar the police have not yet arrested the rape accused Roshan Uddin.
According to the protestors, 72 hours have passed since the rape of an 8-year-old minor, but the police of Dharmanagar PS have failed to arrest the accused, even the family of the victim is not being helped by the police administration, reportedly.
Demanding immediate arrest of the accused and exemplary punishment, the villagers of Yubrajnagar burnt tires and blocked the main road of Yuvrajnagar Mangalkhali for a long time on Saturday.
It is to be noted that on July 28, an 8-year-old girl was raped by a 22-year-old youth named Roshan Uddin in Yuvrajnagar area, by taking her to the forest and the victim minor is Roshan Uddin’s sister. The victim, a minor girl, is currently under treatment at the District hospital.
Even though 72 hours have already passed since the complaint was filed, the police have not yet arrested the accused Roshan Uddin. Resulting, the villagers started protest against the role of police by burning tyres.
