After 2017-18 Finance year stipend was not hiked : TMC intern Doctors continuing protest for the past 8 days demanding stipend increase

AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): TMC Doctors have been continuing to protest for the past 8 days demanding stipend increase. Talking with the agitators it is known after 2017-18 Finance year, inter Doctor’s stipend was not hiked oppositely their stipend decreased to Rs 12,500 from Rs 14,500, and with such less stipend it has become difficult to manage the budget in this inflation situation.

TMC inter Doctors raised demands to increase stipend, to arrange vehicles for rural Posting and to withdraw Hostel charges burden from the intern Doctors. TMC intern Doctors alleged that they were threatened by the College authority and their parents were informed.

The intern Doctors strictly said that they will not withdraw their protest until their demands are not met. They also alleged 8 days have already passed but the authority yet not taken any initiative to respond to them in Positive manner.
