AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): 2021 TET qualified candidates held press meet over Tripura Govt’s delay of TET qualifiers' recruitment. In the press meet TET qualified candidates slammed the former CM Biplab Deb and Education Minister and said that after formation of the Govt, CM Biplab Deb at various programs said that 15,000 teachers’ posts remained vacant and the vacant posts have to be fulfilled. Similarly, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath too said before the media that if he wants he can provide jobs as 14,000 posts remained vacant but there was no deserved candidate.
Based on Ratan Lal Nath and former CM’s statement the TET qualified candidates said that when total 3631 TET candidates qualified, at least now immediately they can be recruited.
The TET qualified candidates also said that in late 2021 Education Minister had assured them that all TET qualified teachers will be recruited at a time but on April 20th, 2022 Minister Sushanta Choudhury suddenly in a press meet informed that only 600 candidates will be recruited amid 3631 TET qualified candidates.
Govt's decision to recruit only 600 TET qualified candidates was called a ‘Dramatic matter’ by TET qualifiers as the Govt according to its statement was supposed to recruit 14,000-15,000 candidates.
