AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Congress joining programme was held at former MLA Gopal Roy’s Assembly Constituency at Kamar Pukur Par area adjacent to Math Chowmuhani Bazar in presence of Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman, Asish saha, Congress President Birjit Sinha and others workers. During the programme BJP bike gang goons wearing helmets ransacked the programme, attacked Cong leaders, workers, and even women were not spared from BJP’s hooliganism.

Many women were injured due to BJP miscreants' stone pelting. Sudip Roy Barman was injured severely.

Centering BJP’s hooliganism turbulent situation has generated in the area.

Condemning the BJP’s hooliganism, Former BJP MLA, Sudip Roy Barman said, “This is a sample of Democracy under BJP... time will speak, I don’t want to react now, but as the dirty game has started... we will play too", said Barman.

Condemning police’s role, Sudip Roy Barman said, the police should wear bangles in hands and take out all the ornaments from their wives.

“The role of the police was condemnable. They have no right to continue in their uniforms. They must give up their uniforms and start wearing ornaments.
