AGARTALA, Feb 20 (TIWN): As elections may affect the recruitment process, the TET qualified unemployed youths on Sunday met Deputy Chief Minister Minister Jishnu Debbarman at his residence demanding immediate recruitment. The TET-1 and TET-2 passed out youths further demanded that the numbers of posts should be increased so that nobody stays deprived of getting jobs including the UR category candidates. Their main demand was to recruit all TET qualified unemployed youths together. It will help to reduce the unemployment rate and at the same time, it will help the schools which are majorly suffering due to teachers’ crisis. The unemployed youths expressed concerns over the upcoming elections and delay of recruitment when candidates are becoming overaged.
Earlier all TET qualified were being recruited at a time but since the new BJP Govt’s formation, new Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath altered the system, keeping qualified youths on waiting list. The TET exams have become very difficult than before but even after cracking the difficult exams, unemployed youths are not directly recruited, which is increasing employment related tensions/
The TET-1 and TET-2 qualified youths requested the Govt to clear the backlog and recruit all the qualified candidates at a time.
